86 rear disc brakes

Car: 1983 camaro
Engine: 383sbc
Transmission: 700r4
86 rear disc brakes

i have a 1986 disc brake rearend and the backing plate(dust sheilds) are not in very good shape i was wondering if there is a place that sells repoduction or aftermarket parts i tryed NPD and yearone and found nothing my local gm dealership says there discontued. if you know where i can buy any let me know thanks

See. This is how good of a guy Ed is. He has the perfect opportunity to sell some backing plates to you, but he lets you know of the option to clean yours up before trying to sell you some.

If you decide you'd rather have new ones instead of cleaning the ones you have though, check out his website (Google Flynbye Performance) and take a look at more brake kits than you ever knew were available for these cars.

the problem is there is rust holes in them ive had the entire rearend sandblasted and thay just look bad there not for that calpier support there just to keep dirt off the rotor im think about removing them complety I dont want a know brake kit just bouught new calpier and flex lines for that rearend

He has just backing plates. I was just saying check out the brake kits while you're there.

Some rears didn't come with shields anyway.
