Parking Brake Adjuster Assembly
My e-brake wasnt working at all (bought the car 4ever ago and its been sitting while ive been working on it) so i checked the handle and everything was hooked up just fine and working.
So i got under the car and took a look the the adjuster assembly assuming it was too loose. I found both parking brake cables werent even connected to the adjuster assembly so i found out why the parking brake didnt work. I put the cables in the way they needed to be and went to tighten done the adjuster bolt but its completely rusted and wont move either way.
Is there a way to get the bolt off or what i'd rather do is remove the entire assembly and replace it. Any one know how i could do that? None of my manuals mention anything besides how to adjust not to remove. Thanks a ton guys.

Re: Parking Brake Adjuster Assembly
the plate where the two brake cables go in to. the whole cable runs from the parking brake handle down through a hole in the bottom to a metal plate/piece that the brake cable from each back wheel connects (one on each side)
also the cable from the e brake handles becomes a bolt after that plate

The cable is easy to replace. Probably easier just to replace it than try to free it up.
Here is a link to a replacement cable.

Re: Parking Brake Adjuster Assembly
i have to free it up to be able to tighten it down is the problem. that does look like the right cable coming from the e brake handle though. I have the replacement cable the adjuster plate i just have to get the old nut off first so i can remove the plate
