*Custom* high-temp paint?
Hi all,
I'm going to be swapping over to a set of 13" Baer brakes (that I bought used) within the next few weeks, & I'd kind of like to paint the calipers while I still have them off. The problem that I have is that I want the calipers to match the color of the car (Flame Red Metallic) or to at least be fairly close anyway.
The high-temp red paints that I've bought so far are all more or less the same thing - a really bright red that I think would look entirely inappropriate with the rest of the car. (Think "Ferrari red" or similar.) Is it possible to get 1200* paint in more than the "standard" 5 or 6 colors?
IDEALLY, I could get something that would be subtly different than stock, something that would show up behind/through the gold GTA wheels, but wouldn't scream "look at me!!". (I've considered black, but I can't seem to get enthused about that...) I suspect that I'm wanting something that's going to be either impractical, or really $pendy - but I figure "what the hell", it can't hurt to ask, right?
Thanks guys.

Re: *Custom* high-temp paint?
I found that the Metal Cast paints actually hold up to high brake temps and maintain there shine for a really long time.
I used a VHT caliper paint and I got one that was blue and used it as my base, then I put a little metal flake (base coat metalcast) for a little sparkle and then a couple light coats of top color. It turned out really nice but I was skeptical if it would hold out and it has lasted a couple years and still looks nice. The paint when dry looked wet and deep and held up to red hot rotor temps.

"Metalcast is heat resistant and can be used in high heat applications such as engines and brake calipers."Link
