Noticed a major problem with my right rear Caliper Mounting Bracket for my 87 IROC the other night. I have a standard 10 bolt and am unable to mount the right rear caliper as it appears that the diff was dropped. You can't order these from GM anymore as they stopped making these about 12 years ago and they aren't listed on Hawks or Classic Industries. I have pretty much exhausted all resources that I have looking for these. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy them at?

 

Since many members have upgraded to bigger brakes and consequently different backing plates, I'd think the site's classifieds might be a good source. The bone yards, of course, would be another avenue.

If the bracket bolts to the rear end housing and is separate you should be able to buy what is called a loaded caliper that will come with the bracket. I was in the Brake bus. for many years and ran into this alot.

 

Nope, I work at Autozone part time and 99% of the time the brake caliper brackets will not come with loaded camaro calipers.. The reason for this is you have to remove the rear axle's to get the caliper mounting brackets off the differential.

 

However, the 'carriers' often come with PBR's, 89-92.

That would work also if I was looking for PBR caliper & brackets. But, I am looking for the stock 87 caliper brackets which came with the Delco Iron calipers.
