Two fast brake question

OK, right now I'm looking at getting a new set of rims, so I want some nice brakes to be behind them mainly getting those ugly drums out from behind them. So got some questions.

1. Where should the stronger brakes go? Front or back.
2. A set of brakes I want to get say "front" in the description. Can I use them as rear?

Thanx

1. Front
2. You don't say what the brakes are, but it's doubtful that they'll fit the rears.

OK Thanx, the brake I'm looking for the back are these 2 Piston Aluminum Caliper w/38mm Stainless Pistons. but I guess I won't be pulling those on the back because they would be better then the stock front.

Just to double check, you already have a drum to disc conversion kit for the rear (or a doner rear end with discs).

Odd enough, from 89-92 all four-wheel disc brake cars (J65) were equipped with 10.5" front rotors and 11.7" rear rotors (with alum PBR calipers). Crazy. Anyway, should you wish to do what was stock from 89-92, note that Ed Miller sells a bolt-on drum to disc conversion kit:

Not right now, I'm trying to get things in order before I go spending money as I have little money to mess up with.

Ok well the kit is not bad but if I could use the "Hassle free" drum to disc rear conversion brackets and the 2 Piston Aluminum Caliper w/38mm Stainless Pistons It would come out a lot cheaper. I have contacted Ed Miller but have not got anything back yet but I hear he is a pretty bussy guy and I'm not going to be able to do the swap for another two months anyway.
