Blessing in disguise?

Hello everyone. Tonight I was working on the Bird. I was planning on re-doing my brakes with the parts I ordered during the winter. I pulled out my calipers and low and behold they accidentally ordered me the calipers and pads for a 1LE car. Now is it worth it to upgrade the whole system so i can run the 1LE brakes or should I send them back and get the calipers and pads I need? What is average cos tof doing a 1LE upgrade? Please help. I stared out angry but then thought I may have a gift in disguise

You'd need to mod the spindles, which you can do yourself. You'll need rotors/bearings/seals, adapters to spindle, caliper carriers, flex lines, combo (proportioning) valve, and the appropriate mounting hard ware. You should be able to gauge cost from Spohn's site as he sells the parts (IIRC, his kit is $850). The following link may provide some helpful info:

Re: Blessing in disguise?

Yeah, too costly for me, so I returned the wrong parts and ordered what i need and Installed everything except the rear calipers. I got new brake lines, new rotors, new pads, new calipers, new e brake cables. I have a question regarding how I get the e-brake spring and spring mount off of the old caliper and onto the new one? As for the pics, the first is the front, the second is the rear, and the third is my car from the rear right now lol.
