Hey I have someone that has a master cylinder from a vega that was originally manually brakes. Does anyone know if this will work?? I figure its all the same crap I mean this is a O E manual brake so the piston on it must be the right size. All id have to worry about is the fittings fitting but worst case i know how to flare pipe

Re: manual brakes with a vega master cylinder
I used a M/C from a 70 Corvette. I just drilled holes in my original pedal bracket and firewall and had to move the pushrod up on the pedal about 1 inch. You'll have to use the appropriate proportioning valve whether it be disc/drum or four wheel disc. There are kits available for this swap as well. Do a search in the brake board. All the info is here. Good luck.

ya thats what im doing but my friend will give me the master cylinder which is brand new for 15 bucks. I know that i need to do all the pushrod stuff and all i was just curious as to how they fit up via fittings and power. I know vegas are smaller so i didnt know.
