e brake
my e brake does not tighten up took off the center console and seen a loose u-clip looking thing down where the handle is any idea what that connects to. also previous owner said that it needs a bolt so that the cable will connect to the handle any idea what size bolt i need.

Hey man. Find any nut and bolt laying around that will fit and line up the cable where it goes on the e brake assembly and put the bolt through. Use some washers if needed.
Also you should check the ebrake cables under the car for any problems. The main cable comes out of the side of the tranny tunnel and then goes to a metal bracket where 2 cables are attached to the other side of the bracket and they go to each wheel. Check these lines for breakage or hard wear. Also you can adjust the cable length at the metal bracket.
Or after you connected the cable to the ebrake handle and pull it and the cable doesnt move that comes out of the transmission tunnel, your main cable could be broken
