Hi all as it says im new here and i am about to get my z28 here soon that im buying from a friend for 1500.
It is a 1985 z28 t top car and has had the 5.0 f/i and 700r4 yanked out and has had a 350 carb motor put in and mated to a th400.
My concern is there are no brakes when i put it in reverse it started rolling back when i had the brake pedal pressed down. It would stop when i used both feet and pressed really hard. What do i need to check out on it to diagnose the problem asap. Also it has 4 wheel disc brakes.

Them’s The Brakes
Check for a vacuum leak on the booster.
Turn off the car, step on the brake pedal, do you get an ‘whoosh’ sound when pumping the pedal?
If your brake hoses look original you should replace them.
Have you tried the brakes going forward?
