gta brake booster the same as reg ta booster?

gta brake booster the same as reg ta booster?
I think my brake booster is bad on my gta, can I just ask for a reg t/a brake booster at the parts store? When I took my master cyl off, the cly in the brake booster will come all the way out when pressed but theres a seal that also comes out. Thanks for any help.

I'm sorry, the year might help. 
Its a 87 it has a l98 and 4 wheel disc brakes which I think are on all gta's. Thanks for any advice.
