Emergency Brake
I just got my liscense today.
I have a 83 z28. It is a 5 speed and works pretty good. The only problem is the Emergency/parking brake does not work i try to pull it up and it is very hard to pull up and doesn't go very far up. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: Emergency Brake
First, congrats on your license.. it's a rite of passage thats or sure.
You may want to take the back tires and drums off (one at a time) and check the parking brake cable and movement of the lever. you only need to move the parking brake handle a little to determine if the cable is moving freely at the brake drum. Get a Haynes manual if you dont have one and follow the instructions for removing the drum.
