post your 60-0 please!!!!
im desperately trying to decide over which brake upgrade to do... like ls1 c4 hd etc.... im hoping that someone could make a chart and post it maybe this can be a sticky?
i know that tire size and heat effect this but it will be somewhat a desiding factor for ppl trying to find out which stops best? we all weigh in around the same so that should be close
i want everyone to post a 60-0 ft with stock(including year) drum or disk rear, any upgrades other than major pad change. i wanna get a baseline for just the upgrade. not upgrade WITH carbon pads or whatever
lets get some good info!!!

Re: post your 60-0 please!!!!
I doubt anyone actually has measurements. I'm not sure 60-0 is really the best measure of the brakes. I'd be relying more on brake feel, as well as the brakes ability to shed heat generated from braking repeatedly.
If you are going to due road racing, the thicker/larger diamter rotors would be better. Large diameter gives better leverage for the caliper, and a thicker rotor absorbs more heat.
If you are just doing drag racing and street driving, either C4 HD, or LS1 will be just fine.
Then again, anything is better than the stock brakes on these cars. 10.5" rotors up front, makes me shake my head everytime I think about it.
I know a guy who puts a stock LS1 Camaro SS through its paces at Road America several times a year. He drives it hard, and I can't beleive how hard he can push that car. He uses race pads though, which make the largest difference in stopping ability. Ceramics don't dust as much, but they can't handle the heat from repeated braking at all.

However, LS1 brakes are a GREAT upgrade over the stock thirdgen brakes.
