I am trying to use the stock 3rd gen lines. Only one side of the metal block on the end will sit flush against the caliper. So, I flipped it over, tightened it down but the line wants to fold inward against the strut. Is there a better solution? Also, one side keeps oozing brake fluid underneath the block. Yes, I used the washers. I keep tightening it but it won't stop leaking. Any ideas?

I got new longer lines, all new washers. Got everything assembled but it doesn't look like I can use the strut bracket. Does the routing of my brake line look ok? It's not secured to anything.

looks like it might start rubbing on stuff when your a arm starts moving and your steering wheel starts turning. For peace of mind secure it.

Re: LS1 brake upgrade question
Could I even use the strut bracket? I would have the line folded in against the spindle. Any other ideas to secure it? Any pics would help, too.

Though not LS1, you might get an idea from the following pic:

Secure it i left mine like yours initially and the line ended up rubbing on my wheel. It began to wear on my new line and the line finally busted glad it happened in my driveway and not the street.

Re: LS1 brake upgrade question
my SS lines didnt come with the piece on the line to secure with that c-clip so i wrapped a piece of rubber around the line with wire tires and tied it to the strut where the c-clip would originally go i'm getting the LS1 lines from eb miller since his new lines have the provision for the c-clip on the strut Name: DSC00411.jpg

Re: LS1 brake upgrade question
Any tips on getting the clips over the hoses? Seems like the metal section won't stick up through the bracket hole enought to get the clamp on. Looks like it's at an angle but flush underneath.

When I sold my big brake kits to Spohn I used a rubber coverered Adel clamp I got from True Value for $1.50. Sold dozens of kits using this clamp.
