some upgrades to a 79?

Car: 87 Z28 and 90 Grand Prix STE
Engine: Z28-project 454, STE-turbo 3.1L
Transmission: Z28-4l80e, STE-4T65
Axle/Gears: Z28-truck 12 bolt posi 3.73
some upgrades to a 79?
So I realize that this is third gen and not second gen, but I just traded my 85 Trans Am for a 79 Camaro, and I'm looking for info on upgrading the brakes. I want to do a rear disc brake conversion, but not spend a lot. Can I swap out the whole rear axle of a disk brake equipted 3rd or 4th gen? Will I need to grab any other parts off the doner car to make it work? Any info, tips, tricks, or links would be appreciated. Thanks.
