need a little advice
I have to replace the powerbooster and mastercylinder on my 86 and was thinking of just going to a manual setup. later on I plan to upgrade the rear to disk brakes would a 1.125 bore mastercylinder be too much? I want to make sure I maintain good stoping power without haveing to yank on the steering wheel to stop after a run down the strip any suggestions?

sorry forgot to mention that yes the car is driven on the street more than the strip. I just dont want it to end up like my old nova where you had to yank on the steering wheel to get it to stop it wouldnt even lock up the breaks.

If you don't want super high effort, why do you want to go to manual brakes? I would stick with power brakes in your application.

thank you RBob I should have also mentioned that the cam in the new motor will not support power brakes without a vacuum canister. also makes it less of a pain to change the #5 & 7 sparkplugs or tighten the headers
