I didn't think you would be interested in a 2pc rotor due to the cost?

Those hats are $158 each, and the cheapest rotors are $57 each. Add in a few bucks for each rotor.

So are you interested?

Hell yeah i am. I need to find the right offset though or the thickness of the caliper so i can find a good offset so the caliper to spoke clearance is good. I think 2.32 is the original rotor offset for a 4th gen but i could find only 1.96 offset with the 8x7.00 hat bolt pattern. Maybe if i try a different rotor with a different hat bolt patter to get closer to 2.32 offset for a 5x4.75 wheel bolt pattern

It would really help to know how much clearance you have. You can put a straight edge across wheel mounting surface. Then take a ruler and measure the distance from the straight edge to the back of the spokes at around 5" from the center of the wheel.

Kinda like this, but to the spoke at 5" out.

Yeah the back setting.. Problem is I won't be able to get that measurement until next weekend. My buddy is using my wheels and I probably won't see him till the weekend.

Well the only rotor they have available that is close to 12" with 1.1" width is the one I posted above. All other bolt sizes they're too big like 13 and 14" rotors.

That is fine, those are the low end of the price spectrum as well, which is nice. Just so you know, a 13" rotor would fit just fine in those wheels.

Ok. You can also try Coleman, they make hats. I really think we need to figure out the clearance first before you spend to much time going down the custom road.

Re: 2010 Camaro Brembos On 3rd Gen

Well in a 13" rotor i found a matching hat with 12x7.00 bolt pattern with a 2.02 offset that is 5x4.75 thats the biggest offset they have in a 1.1" rotor width. Thats .3" off of a stock 4th gen rear rotor offset. But like you said we wont know if it will work till we have my wheel backspacing measurement.

Re: 2010 Camaro Brembos On 3rd Gen

Well i have decided to give it up and go with a better looking set of 18" c5 deep dish wheels instead. Saves alot of headache and will be cheaper in the long run since the stock 2010 ss brembos will fit inside an 18" wheel. Fly n bye sells a rear conversion bracket for the stock brembo rear rotor right?

Just so you know. First of all there is no guarantee that a 14.5" rotor + caliper will fit in an 18" wheel. It SHOULD but no guarantee.

Second, if anything, due to the shape of the C5 wheel, I would imagine you will have even bigger problems with caliper to spoke clearance than the ZR1 wheels.

Again, before jumping to decisions, I would simply get the spoke clearance measurements and go from there.

The spokes bow outward. Its the skinny 5 star ones. And if you check out wilwood, their ss camaro kit is designed to work in an 18" and larger wheel...but thats wilwood rotors not brembo. And all else fails ill use my stock rear end.

I know which wheels you are talking about.

The Wilwood rotor is smaller than stock, 14.25" vs 14.5". That may or may not make a difference.

Look, the stock rotor is VERY flat on these cars. I'm not saying you will have problems with the spoke clearance, but there is a decent chance. You should check before you do it.

Just tell me what your plan is. So I can stop burning up time and money looking at this, if you are no longer interested.

Bringing this back,....has anyone ever thought about what to do about the brake master cylinder? I really don't thing the stock will have enough volume to run the front and rear brembos. Any suggestions?

Camaro SS calipers have less piston area than stock. Fluid volume will not be an issue.

Well that's interesting. Relating to my Nissan 240sx...I did a skyline r32 brake upgrade to it and my brake is at the bottom of the pedal because of volume issues and to fix it I use a skyline master cylinder. I didn't know if the same theory applied to this. Which brings me to my next question...does anyone offer an aftermarket booster and slave cylinder for our cars?? May by with a little more "flash"

What does 'more flash' mean?

Slave cylinder?

Its not really a theory. If you use calipers with larger piston area, you would need a larger master cylinder, if you want to keep the same pedal as stock. That is a big if.

I really don't see what r32 brakes have to do with Camaro SS or our OEM brakes. The fact is, the OEM calipers have more piston area than the Camaro SS. From that fact, we know your pedal travel will be shorter with the Camaro SS brakes than OEM.

Slave cylinders are for manual transmissions. Do you mean a master cylinder? I am sure you can get some that have more bling. I wouldn't know. The OEM master is aluminum so you have lots of options to make it look different.
