STOCK CALIPER REPLACEMENT
I like my brakes and they seem to work fine for my usage. What I don't like is the front calipers that are rusting and look terrible. Is there a simple caliper change option that I can do for looks? I have a 92' Z28 5.7, single piston front calipers.

Re: STOCK CALIPER REPLACEMENT
yes, but it cost about 450 bux.
you could clean and paint the stock calipers with caliper paint, that will make them look nice and not rusty.

Re: STOCK CALIPER REPLACEMENT
The stock calipers arent worth cleaning and painting in my opinion. I have seen some with platings to prevent the rusting and they still look cheap. Is there a direct replacement from another company which looks more modern?

Reman stock calipers run like $13 each. Clean the light oil coating off them and paint them.

if you just want them not to look bad, i too recommend painting. I've had great luck with the duplicolor kits - ceramic paint, cleaner and masking tape (in case you dont take the caliper off to paint). just make sure to get a wire brush and scrub off all the rust, should be good to go

Re: STOCK CALIPER REPLACEMENT
if you want to do your calipers.. go with wilwood #120-7197 $98ea ea thats under $200 for the front.
the brake lines ss for this set is $61.00.
they are billet alum and black anodized and yes...say wilwood on the front so if you have open wheels you can show them off.
cross drilled sloted rotors are another $200 for all 4. 2 front 2 back. zink plated!

Re: STOCK CALIPER REPLACEMENT
I went with these calipers from SSBC and Stoptech rotors. 100x better than stock but my stock setup was in real bad shape.
