the fitting sizes on the valves changed somewhere in the late 80's, get a 92 one to be safe

The 88 combination valve, which is correct for the rear in question, won't fit the threads of your 92, and the 90-92 disc valve is for PBR's (11.7" rotors and single-piston alum calipers). I'm unsure of how the increased bias of the latter might affect braking. And as you may recall, there's an parking brake cable problem as well. If you could locate one, the 89-92 (or even a fourthgen rear) disc brake rear end would eliminate the above problems.

A gander through the 10-Bolt FAQ may be helpful:

Re: which proportining valve for my car help

I have done the same swap on my 92 z28. I used the 90 - 92 valve from a 4 wheel disc car. I can suggest 2 things to do on this swap.
1 get a GM PN 18019028 Caliper, repair kit from gm parts direct or flynbye
2 do some reading about the calipers on this site there is alot of info about them on this site good and bad
