my reared is and 82 or somewhere around there and it has disc brakes on it. my car is a 90 and i was going to put and 89 proportioning valve in there. will that work for a four wheel disc brake setup?

 

Let me try again. There are two 1LE combination valves, a first and second design (early 89 and late 89-92). Because of the difference in tube nut threads in the those two designs, one will fit your 90 and the other won't. That said, remember that the 1LE valve is specifically designed for 89-92 cars with the so-called 1LE rear disc brakes (alum PBR calipers and 11.7" rotors) and not the 82-88 standard disc brakes (iron Delco-Moraine calipers and 10.5" rotors).
