SLP Line Lock install help
I am trying to install SLP's line lock kit and am having some problems. See photos i attached. It is taken out from the housing in the photos.
I have a double flared brake line coming into and out of the line lock. I install the brake fitting as tight as possible but i can still slide the brake line in and out maybe 1/8". This doesnt seam right.
Am i using the wrong fitting? Inside the line lock there isnt an inverted flare or anything to receive and seal to the double flare of the brake line, instead its just flat and the threads for the fitting dont go all the way in, maybe about 2/3 or so.
I appreciate the help.
Thanks

Re: SLP Line Lock install help
yeah, i believe the line lock only has a 1/8"npt thread in it, its not a flare connection. there is a brass adapter you screw in first that accepts the flare fitting. should have been in the slp kit.
remake that flare, it looks really crooked. make sure the line is cut square, and you debur the inside and outside of it before you flare it. lube it with a little brake fluid works well too.
