performance package?

Car: 1987 Iroc Z
Engine: 383 Mini ram
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: borg warner 9 bolt
performance package?
I just went to the auto parts store to get some new rotors and pads.
There was a note on the computer saying "will not fit cars with perf. package"
They guys there were of absolutely no help, and i didnt want to get anything that didnt fit.
I have an 87 iroc z with the 9 bolt disc brake rear.
My question is, how do i know if i have the "performance package"
