88 gta rear calipers
my calipers are completely frozen, i tried using a c-clamp to push the piston in and in wont budge so im just going to buy new ones.
i heard these calipers always give problems. so before i spend the 100 bucks on both calipers, does anyone know of any better calipers that'll bolt on? im not looking for brembo brakes or anything dramatic, just calipers that wont break the bank do its job.

You have screw in piston calipers. They suck.
you want 89-92 or 93-97 rear disc brakes.

In which case you need a specialty tool, the tool and piston spline to each other with 2 notches, much like how a tq converter mates to an auto trans.

yea i completely forgot those things twist in with that cube tool. i bought the tool and tried twisting the pistons in but they were blown so i ended up buying two new calipers.

Just put some brake fluid inside caliper and piston. Then you could push piston into caliper by hands(thats what I do yesterday when I diassembly driverside caliper)
After you have pushed piston into bore you can rotate piston to right position(notch down) by pliers.
