Squealing brakes and bad sound?

Sometimes, not always...the front (seems to be) brakes squeal really loud! I don't know what it as as I had just replaces all my pads and shoes.

The second thing is that when I brake quickly and hard or just sometimes, there is a sound like something up front is shifting, and hitting. As if there is something loose? I hope it makes sense...I'm just looking for general areas to look at.

EDIT: Also I have one more thing. My parking brake SUCKS. It barely works at all until it's pulled straight up. There is no adjustment under the car (already thought of that). I believe the handle is automatically adjusted, but it doesn't pull tight enough. I believe they changed the style of parking brake lever for 92, or atleast in 92. Any ideas?

The sound you are hearing is probably the outer front pad itself. If you didnt install any adhesive to the back of the pad it will "jiggle" back and forth and will cause squeal. Hope this helps.

What adhesive should be used? I never heard of that...I also read it could be the fact that the pads have the metal flakes in them? Even then I doubt it would be that loud. And it's not something that happens constantly.

I've looked around and never found any adhesive for the pads...I replaced the guide pins today, and did notice that the outer pads to move...

Try an anti squeal compound, which can be purchased at any auto parts store.

Okay I found some Disc brake quiet to use when I get the chance. Now what do I do about the parking brake? It works, but when the handle is straight up and only feels tension when it's almost all the way up. I've check all the cables, and everything moves properly. The only adjustment there is is the automatic adjustment in the handle mechanism.
