c5 front brakes dragging
I am a bit stumped with this problem. I am doing a hsr swap and noticed by accident that I could not turn my front wheels without a lot of effort. I bled out the lines, no change. If I take a hammer and lightly pound on the calipers, they will release some, but still drag some. I replaced the hoses, then exchanged the calipers and brackets, still the same effect. Is it possible the prop valve is holding a little pressure in the lines or the master is bad? I also followed the line and there are no kinks in them anywhere. The ls1 rears seem to be just fine. I am really confused to what is going on.

The only way to get them to drag a little is to pound on them some, especially the RH side. It takes quite a bit of effort to turn the wheel. It's acts like the pedal is depressed some, when its not, at least I don't think it is.

They are new and greased. Before I put them on again, I made sure they moved like butter.

Re: c5 front brakes dragging
I have a friend that has the same calipers with the same problem. The calipers (GM) and lines are all new.
With the car jacked up the tire will barely make 2 spins. We pulled the caliper off and the rotor spins freely.
My car with the Baer setup will free spin the front tires for almost 2mins. My Pads are completely released his arn't at all.

Re: c5 front brakes dragging
two spins I would say is an ok amount of drag. Mine on the other hand is about a half turn at best.
