the front brakes on my car make noise when i am not using them. they driver side one randomly makes a rattling/grinding noise while the passenger one squeaks alot. could they be sticking at all?

Re: noisy brakes

Antirattle clip could be missing on the one side and maybe the pins are not greased enough. I'd take them apart and resemble with more lube. Are the rubber brakelines somewhat new? Are the pads new cause they require a break in time.

i just recently bought the car so i don't know whats new and what not. the brake pads are about halfway through there life. i'll check the brake lines and re greasing the the pins would be a good idea after seeing the cost to my dads car last week because his front brake caliper stuck.
