1993 LT1 brake parts in 1988 GTA?
Hi guys,
I just bought complete LT1 Camaro 1993y with manual transmission and want to transfer everything I can in my 1988 GTA with 700R4. Plan is to put complete LT1 engine with T56 tranny, so I want to know is there a chance to use LT1 master cylinder, prop valve and brake booster?
Also, If I use LT1 rear discs/brakes instead of my rear discs/brakes, how much ET difference will be between stock and LT1 discs?
Best regards!

If it were a 98 and up V8 F-body I'd say take all the front brake parts, but otherwise its not worth it. I think the 98' V6's may have gotten the larger LS1 brakes as well. I can't remember right now.
There is zero difference in ET from swapping brakes between any of the F-body systems. Unless you are starting to exceed 115mph in the 1/4 mile you don't need anything better than a good pad to slow you down at the end.
Rotating mass does matter, but the weight differences between them are minor. In fact the LS1 front brake conversion will add weight from its larger rotors.

No, I have rear discs, but not PBR off course. I thought to swap all I can, because I have it , so why not
I already bought LS1 front setup (calipers, pads and rotors) but want to upgrade rear also with this LT1 Camaro's.
So is it possible just to change rear rotors/calipers/pads with this LT1 setup or I need to do something like LS1 front setup (custom brackets...) at the rear?

I am in the process of swapping a '94 LT1 rear into my '89 IROC. I did it mainly for the 3:23's but it also came w/11.6' rear discs and PBR's. They are much better than the Moraine discs and should work fine.
In my case even the brake lines were a match (3 Channel ABS).
If you havn't already, you should probably get a 1LE P/V as well.
