how to change prop valve??
my car didnt pass inspection, tech at firestone said i need a new prop valve and rear brake lines, the rubber ones and new rear calipers. total quote was like 1200.
is it easy to change to change the prop valve? and how?
also, how to do i change the rear rubber lines? and how do i verify if rear calipers are bad and their not trying to get extra cash outta me...
i can probably get new stuff from year one or classic and do the work myself if it doesnt take more than a weekend....
thanks all...

I'd start with the calipers, and then the lines (there are only two on the rear). I seriously doubt that the combination valve is bad.
EDIT: Actually, you'd be well advised to replace both the calipers and lines at the same time, as they're probably original to the car, then bleed.

that also depends on the condition of the brake lines, if they are rotted to heck, chances are they will break before you get the hoses apart. Either way, keep the 1200 bux, buy some tool, and make this an opportunity to learn to fix things yourself. It will save you a lot of money.

All of that work can easily be done in a weekend.
If you dont get the pre-bent brake lines you will need a bender to match as best you can the old lines.
Calipers are no more then a few bolts and they come right off.
The hoses will probably be the toughest to get apart. Like 86TA said, your lines will probably break if they are rotted.
I've yet to change any of these on our cars (will get there on the rebuild eventually) except a rear brake line, and it was very easy.
Grab a manual and learn something new!! Good luck!
