Car still pulls to one side while braking.
I recently rebuilt my entire brake system because a problem that has been on my car for a while.
The car pulls to the right everytime I break. So I bought new rebuild kits to both of my calipers. Changed all the bushing and cleaned them out and washed them. Bought a rebuild kit for my brake pump and changed those parts as well.
Bought new wheel cylinders with new hardware to the rear brakes.
Filled up with new brake fluid and bleeded the system and took the car for a test ride and still the problem is there. Any ideas of what this could be??
The pistons moved freely inside the caliper bore so they shouldn't be stuck either. Mayby the brake hoses has something to do with this??
I haven't done anyting to the proportioning valve yet. Could it be something inside that valve??

Re: Car still pulls to one side while braking.
I guess that would be the next to check out..But I just think it is weird that I get a lot of brake fluid out of the calipers when I try to bleed them.
Then it means that the brake hoses are not clogged or something.
I guess I would have to go with the braided one's from Earls..
I needed an brake overhaul anyway so it was nescessary anyway changing all of those parts..It is an old car you know :-)

The line is collapsing internally and acting as a check valve. Replace both lines.

I had the same problem with it pulling to the right when braking. Took off the hoses on both sides and tried to blow through them with compressed air. Compressed air wouldn't even go through! WOW right... got new hoses. replaced the old ones, bled the brakes and the car stops straight.

Oh when the car pulls to one side while braking. The side it is pulling to...that hose is the one that is working or less collasped than the other. replace both fronts at the same time if you dont it will pull the other side!!!
