proportioning valve spring?

I've spent the last 2 hours searching through threads, and I have a question.

The car is a 91 z28 that originally had drums out back. It still uses the stock single piston front brakes, but it has a 96 lt1 rear axle in it. The previous owner installed it, and told me he did nothing in terms of the proportioning valve.

I see people talking about swapping the spring in the stock proportioning valve for a stiffer one. Where can I get a stiffer spring for mine? I see that this mod can be hit or miss, but I'd like to at least give it a shot before going through the trouble of plumbing in a wilwood adjustable valve.

Thanks in advance!
