37 and 45 degree flares
i know this is a brake board but i have been readong other forums on 37 degree flares. some say that "professionals racers" have used 45 degree flares on aluminum lines and when tightened it takes the shape of the 37. has anyone ever done this and if so did you have any problems with leaks. my tool only goes to 1/2 and i need to flare a 5/8 line. any body?

Maybe it's just me but if you're going to use 37* fittings, use 37* flares. Are you talking about JIC stuff?
And what in crap do you need to flare that's 5/8"?

Like.above, use the right flare, don't fudge it, that's how people get hurt.
