cast iron master cylinder Ac Delco???

I just got a new prop and master cylinder from Rock auto. It for an 89 Iroc. For some unknow reason to me the ac delco is cast iron????? Great now ac delco is cheaping out because aluminum is more expensive than cast. Im just going to get one locally. Which brand aftermarket new is still aluminum? Would like to know before hand as all are not stocked. Wagner/Cardone/Raybestos/ Fenco? I want new because of my ss brake lines had a dam leak last time with a rebuilt autozone unit that was aluminum. Thinking that the seats wernt true on the rebuilts compared to the new units. Thanks all.

The info below from Finelines:

Q. Will my new Stainless Steel lines leak? I've heard they are harder to seal.

A. Stainless Steel lines ARE harder to seal, particularly when they are being installed in a used component. Stainless material is harder than the original material, and lacks the soft lead/tin coating. The seat in a used valve, or other used part usually has an impression left by the original flare. The harder Stainless material does not conform as easily to the old impression. By following a few simple extra steps this problem can be virtually eliminated. We recommend the use of "Permatex #14a Thread Sealant with Teflon". This product comes in a small tube, and is available at most hardware stores. A dab placed on the tube under the fitting, plus a dab on the threads will usually eliminate any sealing problems.

Re: cast iron master cylinder Ac Delco???

James you thinks its wise to just get another master. Aluminum new of course. I dont want to use this cast iron piece, it will rust for sure and it is heavy. My issue i have before with stainless lines were with a used prop and a rebuilt master. Prop leaked like a sive. But i have a new prop untouched seats. Im worried about the rebuilt aluminum masters. I feel aluminum is better anyway to seat a steel or ss line as it is softer. Unlike cast iron. But a new aluminum master wont have refinished seats.Whats your take? Btw Classic tube told me use no sealer on thr threads. I tried this with the old lines and they still leaked. Thanks James.
