More 1LE frustration (bearings)

I'm having difficulty with the bearings. I tapped in the outer race, packed the bearing, placed it in the race. For the love of all that is holy, the seal will NOT seat. In fact, when everything is in place, it doesn't even look like it will fit. I did check for fit before I installed the race and it looked fine, but now it just won't fly. What am I doing wrong?

Are your races fully bottomed out?

that bearing race is nowhere near seated, it has to go in all thw way to the stepped bore where it bottoms out. USE A PRESS!! You can see the pressures climbing w/ a press, that's when you stop.

This is how deep it goes in there:

Also when you use a race driver and a hammer it will make a distinktively different sound when its fully seated. If you dont have access to a press.

in the last of the three pics you posted, it doesn't look like the old race was removed. if you purchased these rotors new, they usually come with the bearing races already in place

X2! Just get a punch and tap the one you put in out of the hub and put the bearing in the already seated race, you should be good to go then.

Yeah, I waited until morning and checked. I just pressed in the bearing on top of the supplied one. I felt pretty stupid. At any rate, I took it out and everything went together smoothly.
