Hey guys,
I have a 91' Camaro with drums on the rear. Want to upgrade to discs. Through the research I have found it looks like there are 3 options. 1. Buy a disc conversion kit. The one I like is here,
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rs...t/model/camaro
2. Buy a 4th gen rear and bolt it up. 3. Find a 3rd gen rear end with disc.
I have a few questions,
In regards to 1. How hard will it be to find replacement rotors and pads for this kit? Will i be able to go to the local auto parts store and buy them (rotors/pads)? 2. Any pictures of this mod to show how far out my tires will stick out? I know its about 2" but id like to see it before I decide to go this route. I like this option as I should be able to find a Z28 so i can get the benifits of a posi and easy-ability of finding rotors/pads/calipers.
Thanks for your time
Bill

Re: Drum Rear to Disc
doing this setup (hopefully) this weekend.

https://www.thirdgen.org/ls1reardisc

uses parts readily available at autoparts stores (98-02 camaro stock pads/rotors/calipers/rubber lines)

Also, doesn't change the wheel spacing like a full rear swap
