1987 camaro brake overhaul
im a young guy working part time so im on a budget ...
i have a 1987 Z28 and the drums on the back as well as the rotors are under spec for inspection and need too be replaced im about to go to the local napa or chev dealer and order the parts however is there a certain brand i should look for , basicly im fishing for advice

No, not really... more important than what to get, is what to avoid... which is, the cheeeeeepest thing that says "freņos" on the box. If you see the words "China" or "India" that's a pretty good sign you don't want it.

and my other question is how much diffrence does discs vs drums actually make?
and what is 1le vs lt1 brakes is that just diffrent packages... i thought lt1 was a certain line of small bloch chevy?

1LE and LS1 are brake upgrades. Usually disc is better than drum to get rid of heat, but count yourself lucky. The rear discs used in 1987 were horrible, you are better off with the drums.
If you're a young guy on a budget, you might want to stick to fixing your brakes with stock replacement parts. Save the fancy retrofit stuff for another time.
