LS1 Brake Upgrade Kit (bigbrakeupgrade.com) Video + Assembly

Hey all! I had my camera set up and decided to take a couple videos. The first video just talks about my upgrade kit, and then gives kind of an overview of how I have my brakes set up. The second video shows how I install my LS1 rotor, wheel adapter, and caliper bracket.

All pretty trivial and easy stuff, but figured Ide post them anyway.

All the conversion parts were ordered from bigbrakeupgrade.com and are still working perfectly. I had to clean up the spindle assemblies and hit them with a little paint, but that was it. I just wanted to clean them up. I think they might come powdercoated now..??

Either way, check em out. If you have any questions/comments let me know!

J.

Great video, I'm sure this will help some people down the road. Also have to note how great big brake is. I used ebmiller back 6 years ago when I did my LS1 setup on my old Iroc. My current Z28 I spoke with Big Brake Upgrade and he was super nice and very quick with responses.

I ended up just building everything myself since I work in a machine shop(bracket/milling hubs and modifying the spindles) and buying calipers/rotors off the corvette forums.

Also should add this video helped me with wheel adapters. I was wondering if guys were just putting a crow bar in between.

Also you said 4th gen wheels...are you running the 1.7 adapters with 17x9 or 9.5 wheels? I just bought some 99SS rims (zr1 style) So need to adapters. For rear I plan on picking up a 4th gen rear since the stock rear/suspension is out.

Thanks

Jay

Another +1 on Scott at BBU, the guy is one of the easiest people to do business with!

Its nice to have people take the time to make videos like these for others who might not have the same experience.

Good stuff
