rear end ?? 9 bolt or 10

Before you send me to a link, hear me out. I just got an 84z28 for basically free, sight unseen. Well it showed up and low and behold it has a 9 bolt disk, I ran all the rpo codes this car did not come with it. So it has been changed. For the past year I have been getting parts together to build my 91rs drum rear. I got the posi and pbr disk brakes from a 4th gen. with 273 gears. Now to my question Should I just keep the 9 bolt with the disk/ and if I do what years do I need to tell the parts shops so I can get the right stuff to rebuild the brakes. Or can I put the disk brake setup on my 10 bolt?? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Re: rear end ?? 9 bolt or 10

9 bolt backing plates won't fit the 10 bolt. Does the 9 have the crummy iron delco moraine calipers (staggered setup) or the later pbr alu ones?
