Brake issue

I bought my camaro about 2 and a half months ago and the brakes were great they are stock but they were firm and seemingly in great condition. So this morning I drove 20 miles to school and there was nothing wrong parked the car and went to class. So fast forward 8 hours and I come back out I started the car let of the parking break and backed up I immediately noticed something really wrong. The pedal went halfway to the floor now and I looked down at the tack and the brake light was still on my question is what happened? what failed? And most importantly How much Lol? jk

Re: Brake issue

Can you see any fluid under the car? My guess initially would be you sprung a leak. You may have to get the car up in the air and get under it. Follow the lines from the master cylinder back to the wheel cylinders (pull the drums).

Re: Brake issue

You can check your fluid level to see if it's a leak. Pump the brakes a few times and see if the level is lower. You should be able to see some leakage though. A change that quickly is probably a leak though, so figuring out where should be your priority. I wouldn't drive it like that btw, not unless you have to.

You can probably fix it yourself, as the brake system is usually just requires a few wrenches...or vice grips
