W/out seeing any pics I'd wager to guess that you have the delco-morraine rear discs. (if one caliper is "leading" and one caliper is "following" then that's definitely what they are).

Is it a 10-bolt or 9-bolt? There are many 'big brake upgrades' that have been put on these cars.

Re: What rear brakes do I have

Yup, you have the Saginaw / Delco-Moraine brakes. Yuck.

Sorry to hear you actually paid money for that. I hope it wasn't too much. I also hope it doesn't have the usual 2.xx gears in it. That would just rub salt in the open wound on your .... yeah, there.

Nothing else will "fit" directly.

If you find a whole 89-92 or 93-97 rear, and don't mind tearing it all the way down, I think the WHOLE thing can be swapped over. You'll need the backing plates, and everything else from there on out.

No, you will have to either do a direct swap with the same type of calipers, or do an entire conversion similar to this:

Re: What rear brakes do I have

The backing plates are different. You need backing plates to bolt on PBR calipers, and to change the backing plates the axle shafts have to come out.
