Baer 6S
Hey guys i have a chance to buy a set of Baer 6S calipers for $250 used and i was wondering if i should pick them up. I talked to Baer and they said i would need their brackets 85$ each and their rotors $685 for both. They said the rotor would have to be a 14 inch unit 1.5 inch thick. Is there any other alternative rotors that would be a cheaper route? Maybe a Z06 or CTSV rotor?
Another quick question, can i move my 4 piston alcons to the rear if i fab up a bracket? Would i need a aftermarket MC to make this work?

Re: Baer 6S
The brackets are 85 each but after all the additional hardware they are almost 150. I have the same setup. Im sure you could use a 14" rotor from a camaro or vette only issue would be the offset of the rotor hat. If its any more than what the baer one is, which is about 1" they wont fit unless u use a different custom hub.
You current Alcons could be made to work on the rear, but obviously would need tuning via a adjustable prop valve to work properly.

Re: Baer 6S
Still trying to find a rotor to use for these calipers. I am going to call Baer and ask them what they would recommend. Not sure if they will give me a straight answer or just keep trying to get me to buy their stuff. I could bite the bullet for the brackets but not their rotors especially for that price. I am mostly having trouble finding a rotor 1.5 inches thick. If it doesnt pan out i may just forget it all and keep what i have. My current set up is plenty for me i just thought for as cheap as these calipers are it was worth a shot.
