Vacuum Test
Iam having a problem with my brakes can I take a vacuum test without the car running an if so how is it done. Thanks

In short, no (unless you have an auxiliary vacuum pump as the vacuum source). Can you be more specific about what you're wanting to test though? Are you wanting to measure the vacuum from the source (engine or aux. vacuum pump) or are you wanting to verify the booster, check valve or hoses aren't leaking?
I'm going to assume you want to measure vacuum going to the booster from the source. Insert a T fitting between the booster and the source to measure the vacuum with a vacuum gauge/tester.

If your engine is not running you won't be able to measure your vacuum to the brakes because the engine is what creates the vacuum. Get your engine running first then use a vacuum tester as described above to measure how much vacuum you have.
