Brake Pressure Gauge

My brakes are terrible. I just converted to manual due to low vacuum (cam) and brakes barely stop the vehicle at slow speeds. Was looking into further troubleshooting and using the gauge below but I don't see how this would screw into the bleeder port. What are you guys using to check pressure at the caliper? Is there a 12" flex line available that will adapt to this gauge and screw in to the bleeder port?

I'm not sure what you mean. The link shown shows a bunch of adapters. Basically you unscrew the bleeder and screw in the adapter and gauge. You will also need to bleed the setup which might be a bit messy.

Re: Brake Pressure Gauge

There's absolutely no room to screw in the gauge, strut is in the way. Would need a low profile 90 deg fitting with a flex line to adapt to gauge.

Re: Brake Pressure Gauge

You know, after thinking this a bit... guess you could remove caliper, install adapter and gauge, then hold caliper in place on rotor while someone else pressed the brake pedal to obtain pressure. Yep, this would work!

True, that would work. Good thinking. I did not realize you were using OEM calipers. Kudos to you for actually using a gauge.
