Just started doing my brake upgrade on my 82 ta. I know this info is on other threads but i still think some of them could be confusing to spme people since they dont strictly follow from start to finish. Bla bla bla. Anyway ill keep u updated.

 

Ok last week i went to the local pick and pull and got calipers and caliper brackets off of a 2000 camaro. The rotors were junk so i found some on a cadillac cts. They are the same. Paid $10 each on the rotors and $14 each on the calipers. He didnt charge me for the brackets! Then i went today to a friends salvage yard and picked up an extra set of third gen spindles and rotors. In the pics u can see i cut the rotor off the hub. Just used the trusty grinder with a cut off wheel. Then took the hub to work and used the brake lathe to cut down the diameter until it fit the ls rotor. Turned out to be 5.7 inches fit real nice. Just waiting for the brackets to come in from bigbrakeupgrade.com. More updates soon.
