At my breaking point!

Hi all, I've done some searching and had some questions answered, but I'm still looking for answers. Some history on my car. 89 Formula that originally came with a 9bolt rear and 4 wheel discs. When I got the car it had an earlier drum brake equipped 10 bolt swapped in. The car is a HSR equipped 10:1 350 with a 290 duration trickflow cam. Vacuum at idle is ~11 inches. The car would literally lump through the brakes at idle at a light.I initially tried a reserve canister with no success. I then changed the combination valve assuming the PO didn't take into account the drum swap. This changed nothing. I then did a manual conversion from Burkhart Chassis with the Strange 1.031 bore master.
The car stops slightly better but not comfortable for heavy traffic conditions.
Last summer I swapped in a Currie 9 inch that came with 1LE PBR discs. I pulled the master out and re-bench bled it. I then changed the brake lines, replaced the front calipers with re-mans and Motive power bled the whole deal. To say the brakes are disappointing is an understatement. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been working on cars for over 30 years and this frankly has me stumped. I'm assuming a larger bore master would be worse? Thanks for your time.

Re: At my breaking point!

Its the front brakes single piston calipers they are a poor design better off doing the LS1 brakes from a 98-02 car you have to cut the hub off the old stock rotor and turn it down to fot into the LS1 rotor after that call bigbrakeperfomance and send him ur spindles he will make the bracket that u will bolt on the LS1 caliper to u can use the stock brake hoses for the swap and also the 1Le prop valve that will give u way better stopping power
