Re: Cant Get Fluid

I bleed the brakes each time I open the brake line to install the new caliper.
Not waiting until both are done.
I don't know the procedure when that is done.

Here's how to bleed the front brake calipers on my car.

Fill the reservoir on the master cylinder watching it closely as you lose fluid, keeping it topped off.
Keep the cover on the brake master cylinder reservoir on tight when pumping the brake pedal. Have someone get in the car. Have him pump the breaks a few times holding it down at the end ,then you crack open the bleeder Zerk nipple enough to let some fluid out. Then close the nipple and have him do it again until the pedal is nice and tight with no air bubbles in the fluid coming out of the nipple.
Do not let the master cylinder run out of fluid.
Don't forget that brake fluid will eat paint.
Use a rubber hose on the end of the nipple going into a clear container as you do this.
Don't let him lift the peddle untill you have the nipple closed.

Re: Cant Get Fluid

No fluid comes out = blocked lines

"Manual" doesn't matter.

Suspect the rubber hoses. They fail by rusting on the inside, and closing up the teeeeny tiny hole that started out being there. Just replace em, they're cheeeeeeep.

Should be able to bleed em by just opening the bleeder and letting the fluid dribble out, and waiting until clean fluid appears. No effort of any kind required. Just let the work do itself.
