Rear brake line ends?

Hey guys,

i'm in mid resto in the UK and I've hit a snag. I have a'85 V6 SE and i can't seem to find out what the rear brake line end sizes are. I'm talking about the line which runs from the front end of the master cylinder to the 'T' pipe which is bolted to the rear axle. I need to know what size and thread each end is.

Really appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance
Rich

Re: Rear brake line ends?

Man I wish I saw this post a few weeks ago. I was having trouble figuring out my brake issue and i needed to replace the lines and needed to determine the fittings for the aftermarket lines I was installing. I don't know how often people need/want to do aftermarket lines but this is very helpful for that.

Re: Rear brake line ends?

Not to start a panic, but the fitting on the prop valve for the rear 6mm brake line is 14mm 1.5 the fitting at the rubber flex bose at the back of the car on the same line should be 12mm

Thanks.

Is the below correct?

1985 to 1992 Proportioning Valve Outlet sizes are:
Outlet Port to Rear Brakes - M14x1.5 bubble flare
Outlet Ports (2) to Front Brakes - M10x1 bubble flare ??

I question the M10x1 bubble flare outlets now. I pulled together a lot of this doing a search online.
