Universal booster and master

I am redoing most of my car before I put the new 383 stroker in and I will be running new break lines. I have been looking at possibly doing something with the booster/master. My question is has anyone used one of the universal set ups? If so was it a pain? Alot of modification? Here's a link to one I just looked at from summit.

Re: Universal booster and master

I'm considering getting one of those Baer Remaster master cylinders. I really dig how they look. Just don't know enough about them yet to pull the trigger.

You must separate the link from the paragraph above or next to it.
Give the link some space and it will work.

Re: Universal booster and master

Stock M/C bore is 24 mm, the one you linked to is 1-1/8" (28.6 mm). This will cause a 30% decrease in brake force with the same pedal force.

Then the booster, it is a 7" unit which is worthless for providing any boost. It also appears to be a single diaphragm unit, with our stock one being a 9" dual diaphragm unit.

All-in-all you would be lucky to be able to stop the car with that setup.

RBob.

Thanks for the info and reply. Definitely don't want less stopping power.
