Fitment Question

Been thinking about starting to put money into my thirdgen again. It hasn't been neglected, but it hasn't been funded either. Bought a c5 vette, and realized the brakes on my thirdgen are crap.

I have 18" boyd magneato's up front with the stock (i'm pretty sure at least) 4.5 in offset. Been debating the big brake upgrade, but can't figure out what, if any of their options i'd actually clear. One of my rear wheels is out of round - the whole set needs to go at some point anyways. The 70+ mph vibration sucks. So - i'm not hellbent on sticking with the boyds, but it'd be nicer to just do the big brake upgrade then the wheels down the road instead of both at once.

Any help on fitment is appreciated. I'm not a fan of my thirdgen calipers saying corvette or v (cadillac) but i think they said they could do the calipers off of a 5th gen.

So - that said - anyone happen to know if my current boyds will clear a big brake upgrade with either the wilwood kit, a newer 5th gen camaro kit, or maaaayyybe the c5 or LS1 kit?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Fitment Question

That depends a lot of the actual design of the wheel, some wheels have spokes that flare out, some in, some straight ECT.

That said, unless they are a real mess of a design, they should clear most brake packages no problem since 18's are usually pretty roomy.
