master cyl question

HI ALL whilst having engine out of my 88 formula i changed all of the metal pipes as thay did not look good .with the aid of a frend we bled the system .locked all bleed niples and pressed the pedel to c whot we had pedal nice and firm.problem when puahing pedel from the rear of the master cylinder thear sum sorta valve in thear .break fluid is pushed up and ends up every whear .ok u dont drive round with the top of of master cyl .is this normal

Yes, there is a quick take up circuit for the front brakes that will spit fluid if you're not careful.
