Questons for LS1 rear brake upgrade

I have a set of rear LS1 breaks that I was going to install in place of thr current drums when I get home from Saudi Arabia, but I have some questons, the car is an 84 Z-28, I Skyped with my wife to see what kind of combo valve it has and it is the cast one that you cannot change the spring in, so...
Question 1 is do I have to replace the lines or are they adaptable to the newer combo valve with the replaceable spring?
Question 2 do I have metric or SAE lines...and what are my options with them if they are SAE
Queston 3 I have GTA wheels...I've seen on here that they hit the breaks on some posts and that they bearly clear on others and on still more that I can get spacers to make them clear...I don't want to get rid of the wheels...what are my options

Thanks

Re: Questons for LS1 rear break upgrade

I can answer #3 I have ran dimpled GTA rear wheels on my car with rear LS1's no need for spacers however the front wheels on front LS1's do need about 3/16" spacer to clear I used factory rear drum spacers up front.

The wheels are fine, the clearance issues are on the front.

If you have sae lines, the prop valve will be more rounded, cast looking, whereas the metro ones are very square and angular.

Ok...so I have the SAE valve....I do eventually want to go to LS1 or 1LE fronts, so what would be the best way to proceed....the prop valve I have looks like the lines are in completely different locations then the metric valve (the one with the replaceable spring) so should I just get all new lines and a new (to me) master and prop valve, or is there a cheeper way to go?

84 should be metric, unless its a very late 83 production date...just because its cast does not mean its sae. they used cast prop valves well into 86 that were metric

If it is metric are the lines bendable enough to adapt to the newer combo valve with a tube bender?...man I wish I was at home so I would be right in front of the car....also is there a way to tell if it is metric just by looking at it....I have Skype so I can viedo/talk to my wife but she is clueless when it comes to tools/cars....I believe the production date was 11/83
