Hydro e brake, how will it affect drum brakes?
I have an 84 Trans Am with drum brakes.
I want to put in a Hydro e brake (one with park option), put it where the parking brake handle is, and remove the parking brake cables entirely. It seems like a stupid question.. but by taking away the cables and the little lever in the drums will it somehow affect how they sit and apply pressure??

I am not sure about function since I have not worked on a drum brake one but if your state does an inspection it won't pass without cable setup. The brake setup should be independent of braking system.

They hydraulics will bleed off over time so they are not suited for a parking brake no matter what the seller is telling you.
Also, how do you plan to plumb the two systems together?
If you remove the cable from the drums, they will no longer self adjust to compensate for wear. Also as mentioned before, you will fail a visual inspection if your state has one.
Leave it alone.
